Songs of the Flesh

Scott kicked off 2023 as The Boy from the Forest in Songs of the Flesh  by The Danger Ensemble in collaboration with Theatreworks as part of Midsumma Festival. The season was extended after a sell-out first week and received critical acclaim.

"A wild, passionate and raging journey... fierce and powerful performances... visceral work that will have you feeling a deep warmth in your heart, but also like you've just received and emotional gut-punch" - My Melbourne Arts

Traps

Scott recently appeared in LaMama's SOLD OUT production of Caryl Churchill's Traps, playing the role of Jack, directed by Laurence Strangio at LaMama HQ in September.

What makes us who we are?

Jack, Syl and Albert live together.
Oh, and there’s Del who was living with them before.
And Christie, Jack’s sister.
And her husband Reg…
Six people in a room – in the city, and in the country.

An Escher drawing for the theatre, TRAPS is an “impossible object” where everything that happens is ‘real’ but not everything adds up.

“Anything is possible in the theatre.” – Caryl Churchill

Midsummer

Midsummer was the premiere production for Scott's brand new company Sheoak Productions. This Commedia dell'Arte, gender bending, 80's adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream was accepted to the VCAA Playlist and was a great success.

Scott played the fitness model Hermius, the trickster Puck and the clown Snout, as well as adapting the script, production managing and movement directing.

Three Sisters

Scott recently appeared as Tuzenbach and Solyony in La Mama's production of Three Sisters. However due to a snap lockdown the week before opening the show was recorded only.

A bold and absurd new version of Chekhov’s tragicomic classic by Laurence Strangio. This playful translation highlights the heartbreaking yet provocative humour of the play, pricking the tragedy of these siblings who bemoan their lives while those around them get on with theirs.

Two Gents
Two Gents Poster (updated times).jpg

Adapted from Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona, set in 30's Hollywood and presented in the style of Commedia dell'Arte, Two Gents tells the story of two young men who in their search to become gentlemen fall for the same girl. What could possibly go wrong? Hold tight as a troupe of 5 actors sing, multi-role and slapstick their way through this fast paced classic.
Lights! Camera! Action!

Scott has adapted the script, movement directed and is appearing in this production which is a concept he has been working away on for quite some time.
